We were looking for a lower cost construction to build our race paddle boards out of, without sacrificing strength, durability and weight. We pioneered our innovative Wood Carbon paddle board construction from scratch and developed it specifically to compliment our world-beating race paddle board models, the All Star and Sprint.

RIGID STANDING AREA
UD CARBON AND AUSTRALIAN PINE
• UD Carbon-reinforced standing area provides extra durability and stiffness at the greatest impact zone.
• Australian Pine reinforcement is used on the full length of the standing area for extra impact strength against heel dents.
UD CARBON RAIL
2 x wider UD carbon rail bands enhance this construction by making it longitudinally stronger and provide faster reflex and stiffness.
S-GLASS
The full outside wrap of the plain weave 140g military grade S-Glass gives great impact resistance for its weight and also provides a good flex pattern.
33% LESS PAINT
33% less paint sprayed on the deck, rail and bottom of the board. Less paint means lower weight and is better for the environment.
EPS CORE
15 KG/M³ DENSITY
Shear resistant, fused and moulded individually to fit each and every Starboard board providing high strength at the lightest weight. Our moulded core technology produces zero EPS wastage.
