“The Starboard Generation is just that: a board for the new generation of standup paddling. The Generation is a board that excels in multiple water conditions; whether it’s a touring adventure, a local race or even paddling into some waves, the versatility of the Generation stands out. What’s more, when we spoke to many different retailers this board was one that kept being brought up and highlighted and is ultimately why we’re giving it the 2021 Supconnect Gear of the Year Award for Overall Gear of the Year.”

It accelerates the water out of its path at an ever-increasing rate, giving the rider an effortless experience. You never feel that drag, because it is simply not pushing water. No bow wave, no splash, hardly a ripple, but you’re moving across the water’s surface quickly on a stable platform. It’s all about paddling distances effortlessly and comfortably which are the hallmarks of a performance touring board, that this truly is.

PETER MURPHYEXPERIENCED PRODUCT INNOVATOR

“The unusual design (narrow nose, underwater pintail supported by wider wings for stability) mean the Waterline moves effortlessly on glass, and it easily keeps up with more expensive race boards.”

The Waterline is by far one of the most silent boards through the water. The sharp nose shape slices through the water to provide minimal drag and reduces splashing noises which makes this board so quiet. In fact, we renamed this board ‘The Fish Scarer’.

“The comparatively thin hardboard is as stable on the water as the 33’’ iGO. The full soft deck that also covers the rails makes it sturdy and family-friendly. Smooth riding and no need to walk all the way to the tail for a step back turn.”

“The Starboard GO finished in the Starshot Sun graphics is an absolutely stunning looking board. But it doesn’t end there… the whole Starboard GO range of boards are packed with R&D from Starboard Race and Touring boards, offering an excellent stable platform for flatwater SUP cruising, fitness and yoga. It’s the easiest mid-length board we’ve ever paddled with great straight-line glide and performance.”

My favorite board is the Allstar as its the most versatile between the Sprint and Ace. It can hold a quick pace in the flats, but you don’t have to worry if you’re in some wind or choppy water. For high wind downwiders and surf races, the Allstar provides the most stability and most control in all conditions.

The 2020 All Star is a game changer. It’s faster, more efficient, more responsive and the best all round board on the market!

“The All Star is a board I know it will work in everything! North Carolina was the best example this year – choppy to flat to upwind to downwind conditions and at the end surfing a wave back to the beach. When I´m racing on the All Star I can just focus on myself, this board is very predictable and really easy to get used to paddle on it.“
