Congratulations to Daniel and Bruno Hasulyo (SUPBROz) for winning the Thailand SUP Festival over the weekend. Bruno was able to outpace a field of 70 competitors to win the 12’6 division on Starboard All Star. Brother Daniel came in 2nd in the distance followed by Starboard Product Manager Ollie O’Reilly. In the women’s division Starboard USA Ambassador representing Kristy Morris took first.
The sprints consisted of all racers paddling on an 11’6 Inflatable Touring board, which saw some great action. This time it was Daniel Hasulyo coming in 1st and Bruno 2nd, followed by Starboard teammate Tomo Murabayashi coming in 3rd. Kristy Morris also won the sprints division.
The event which saw paddlers from all over the world (AUS, UK, Hungary, Singapore, India, USA, Korea) proved to show just how fast the sport of SUP is growing in Thailand and Asia overall. We look forward to participating in this event again next year and thanks to our Partners Longtail Paddlesurf, iSUP Samui, and Amara Watersports for attending and representing Starboard.
