Sonni and her family made this decision as Sonni is grieving the loss of her very best friend who passed away, after a long and painful fight with a terminal illness.
We are supporting Sonni with her decision to take a leave of absence because it is important for her to take the best care of herself without any obligations by the public or sports over this time period.
