About

Brianna grew up on New Zealand’s Hauraki Gulf sailing, surfing and Stand-Up Paddling. Adventures on the open ocean were a memorable part of her upbringing, from cruising on a 40ft catamaran around the south-pacific to paddling a 30km race (Poor knights crossing) at 16 years of age. The beautiful marine environment is where she gets her strong passion for our blue planet and the environment that affects it. Competing in local SUP events since she was 12 years old she began to train for her first world event in Qingdao, China. After winning both a gold and silver medal in the junior division of the ICF World SUP Championships in China, she decided to combine both her SUP racing and environmental science studies at USC, Australia. In 2020 she started an internship with the eco team at Starboard HQ, this gave her the opportunity to give back to the environment that gave so much to her. Competing on an international circuit has been a recent ambition of hers, setting her sights on the Eurotour. Her approach to SUP has always focused on the enjoyment of the journey rather than the final destination.
