Starboard UK Team Rider Marie Buchanan has won the weekend’s 2023 SUP the Creek event in Devon. Marie raced the new Gen R flat-deck race sup by Starboard with the Lima race paddle. She is equally chuffed about the weekend’s results as well as getting together with old friends;
“A super fun weekend of SUP racing and seeing everyone having fun at my local! Lots of smiling, running, paddling, eating, sleeping and more paddling! Great to catch up with SUP friends racing for their first time in years as well as meet lots of SUP-racing newbies!
I am delighted with a double wins in the Tech Beach race and Long Distance race events and my double @salcombegin wins!
The Starboard Gen-R was the perfect board choice, gliding effortlessly around both technical and distance courses in flat and breezy conditions on both days.
A timely confidence builder for me following recent lurgy, heading into my biggest event of the year, the ICF SUP World Championships, Thailand next month.
