While some paddlers were still racing the Dutch canals for the 11 City SUP, another important race was being held this last weekend. The Japan Cup in Chigasaki that offers 30.000 USD in prize money, the biggest prize purse in Asia, attracted several of the worlds best paddlers.
Michael Booth, Australian Starboard Dream Team rider won the first day’s long distance race in front of James Casey. On the second day, Mo Freitas took the victory of the survivor format race with Michael finishing third behind James Casey this time obtaining the overall victory by points.
Congratulations also to Starboard Rider Matt Nottage finishing fourth with a fourth position in the long distance and fifth in the Survivor race and also to Japanese team Rider Tomoyasu Murabayshi finishing in seventh position. #LiveTheTikiLife !
