This past weekend saw the SUP & Beachsports Festival take place on the south beach on Fehmarn where outdoor enthusiast could experience beach culture live. This was an event for the pros and weekend warriors alike to enjoy. And best of all: the entire program is free of charge. The event also played host to the German SUP Championships which consisted of Sprint, Technical and Long Distance races.
Here’s what the Starboard Dream Team rider had to say about the event;
“It was great to race in Germany again! Yesterday we had the German championships in Longdistance on the island of Fehrman. It was nice to compete against the best women in Germany and see how the level of performance is increasing.
It was a 12km paddle along the beautiful coastline of Fehmarn. It was really flat, but big chunks off seaweed and some current made this course quite challenging to find the fastest line. I used the sprint and the lima paddle- a winning combination! I’m really happy to take first place. Big congratulations to all the competitors, especially to the Starboard Team for their great performances this weekend and a big thank you for the organizers in making this event happen.
