Perfect sunshine, blue skies and a breathtaking panorama of snowy mountains awaited the more than 60 participants of the ICE Race, going all the way from Interlaken to Thun. The short downwind from the start endiled after about 5 kilometers and the wind shifted to a light headwind for the rest of the race, demanding an extra effort from the competitors in the 18 kilometer long race.
After 1 hour and 50 minutes Alain Luck crossed the finish line, 4 minutes in front of Peter Tritten, followed by Andi Saurer (1:56).
First in the womens division was Andrea Forrer with a time of 2 hours and 13 minutes, followed by Sigrid Baumgartner (2:17) and Tanja Mock (2:20).
