Technical / 2023 ICF Stand Up Paddling (SUP) World Cup Sarasota Florida USA
This weekend I was in Sarasota Florida racing at the ICF SUP World Cup. It was three days of racing; 200m Sprint racing, 10km Distance Race and an 800m Technical race.
The women’s field here was quite competitive. It was a good push and training opportunity going into ICF Worlds Thailand and I was really impressed with how strong the women’s USA field is.
Results of the weekend:
- 1st 800m Technical Race
- 4th 10km Distance Race
- 5th 200m Sprint
I was very happy to finish the weekend off with a solid performance during the Technical race. All weekend I was trying to find my groove and it felt good to have pulled it together for the technical race.
The awesome team from Goat Boater arranged my favourite race machine, at the All Star 14 x 20.5. You should enquire if you ever need a race board in this part of the world – Megan Cynowa at The Goat Boater was super helpful at the race and with coordinating the board for me.
