When the “Guardians of the Seas” become victims themselves, it means it’s time to act!
The Stecher Twins, supported by Andy Klotz, will soon embark on the 5-day Istrian SUP Challenge ~ a SUP expedition around the West Croatian Coastline – a staggering 537km – to raise awareness & funds to save the Adriatic Dolphins.
The expedition starts in the small village of Barcelo, just North of Trieste, Italy with their final endpoint in Opatija, Croatia. The team plans to paddle for 8 to 12 hours a day, for 5 days, in order to complete the challenge. Artist SEOM & team recorded this song to support the project.
The work was composed by Marius Mikat aka Jack Center and the wonderful Annika Nika, who further refined the song with her magnificent voice. The song was recorded, mixed and mastered at the ‘Master Mix Studio in Munich by Simon Easter. All work was done on a volunteer basis for this great project!
You can support this project and help save the dolphins of the Adriatic Sea.

Here are the lyrics in English:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“For millions of years, I swam the sea
With gentle grace, kindness and strength
My streamlined body
makes sounds louder than I can hear
from deepest blue to coral reef
I hear my species calling my name
Highly developed and selfless
echoes register my surroundings
I dive through the waters
and communicate deeper than people think
Although I’m just a mammal for most
I always recognise my friends’ calls
We dance together through a million nights
Full of love and highly developed strengths
I dive with my companions
And grieve when they suffer and die
I have feelings like you
Don’t you see the kindness in me?
Hear my cries for help from the nets of this world
and remember, please save me now
200 years ago
our species had no dangers
we swam together led by instinct
and dove hundreds of meters deep
We’ve always followed our inner voice
But the noise in the sea irritates our senses
We’re fighting for air, swimming for our life
To no avail
Forgotten, abducted, and sunk
Strangled and drowned in discarded nets
We’re calling you from down here, free us
before our strength leaves us
It’s up to you now
Our higher consciousness is drowning because of you
Can you hear us? From the nets of this world.
Don’t wait any longer, please save us now.
I have feelings like you
Don’t you see the kindness in me?
Hear my cries for help from the nets of this world
and remember, please save me now”
