NEW NARROWER TAIL OUTLINE

  • Faster acceleration and overall glide per stroke.
  • Upwind the narrower tail helps the board flow naturally with bumps, helping to lift the nose over swell.
  • Downwind, it makes it more reactive to maneuver between bumps.
  • Easier to sink the tail for fast snappy buoy turning.

 

NEW EXTENDED AND LOWER STANDING AREA

Helps to lower the rider’s center of gravity for improved stability and control. Riders can now reach faster speeds and maintain speed over a longer time as they can focus on paddling with maximum power, instead of losing energy balancing.

OPTIMIZED NOSE VOLUME

  • Provides greater float and lift in flat water, allowing for faster acceleration.
  • Gives greater buoyancy and lift upwind and prevents nose diving when paddling downwind.
  • The pop and release allow the rider to maintain glide with a steady cadence.

ROUND VEE WITH DOUBLE CONCAVE BOTTOM
  • Allows the board to sit higher on the water forcing the board to lift faster with every stroke. It feels lighter to paddle, allowing you to conserve more energy.
  • During sprints, the board accelerates faster, as it lifts and glides on a narrower planing surface.
  • Upwind it floats over chop easily without getting stuck, allowing you to keep a strong paddle cadence.
  • Downwind it is faster and more responsive to maneuver.
  • More forgiving in side chop, as it’s less affected by the swell as it floats between bumps.

WIDE CHAMFERED RAIL

Reduces the planing surface by nearly 20%, increasing the glide and overall speed.

SMOOTH NOSE ROCKER

Allows for faster entry onto downwind bumps and added kick reduces nose diving.

VEE TAIL

Makes it easier to steer the board when stepping back for smooth rail to rail transitions in surf and downwind.

BOXY STRAIGHT RAILS

Optimize the full outline of the board for greater stability and reduces rolling.

Provides stability, acting like stabilisers similar to a trimaran.

NEW EVA DEFLECTOR
  • Restricts water wrapping over the nose and entering the standing area, keeping feet dry and reducing weight.

NEW EFFICIENT DRAINAGE

4 drainage holes help flush water out of the standing area as quickly as possible.

NEW DRAIN COVERS
  • Stick on drain covers reduces water entering the standing tray, creates suction to remove any water inside, and has a smooth release when paddling.

DIAMOND GROOVED TAIL PAD

For added traction & control when buoy turning and wave riding.

MULTIPLE HANDLE POSITIONS

Allows you to customise the handle placement for beach starts.

  • A longer center fin like the Race Ultra will provide greater stability and tracking in flat.

CARBON SANDWICH

LIGHTEST WEIGHT, DURABILITY, FLEX CONTROL
  • Lightest and strongest race board construction.
  • Super light-weight biaxial carbon is laminated over the standing area and full bottom.
  • While the stronger 150g Biaxial carbon wraps the nose and rail and the best strength ratio and efficient flex.
  • High-density PVC is used in the standing area and full bottom maximizing strength.

WOOD CARBON

GREAT STRENGTH, COMPETITIVE WEIGHT, VALUE OFFERING
  • Australian Pine reinforcement is used on the full length of the standing area for extra impact strength against dents.
  • New UD Carbon reinforced standing area provides extra durability and stiffness at the greatest impact zone.
  • UD Carbon reinforcements cover the rail, increasing the strength longitudinally and offer faster recoil.

All suggested rider weights are dependent on the riders ability, conditions and goals. In some cases, riders will be able to exceed the given rider weight if their skill level and ability is more advanced. We suggest if possible to contact a local Starboard SUP dealer to help understand your goals and to demo the boards first before choosing your size.

“I can happily tell the valued properties and features, meet the requirements of the premier class, like the pigmented paint, GoPro mount, a nice and redesigned grippy deckpad, multiple handle positions and excellent workmanship.
