Sonni Hönscheid is the three-times (2014-2016) SUP World champion, one of the toughest races in the world. The Molokai2Oahu race covers 32 miles over the open sea between Molokai and Oahu.
In 2016, she also won the most important European race at Lost Mills in her home country Germany as well as the Euro Tour in 2015 and 2016 and selected SUP World Series event . She is also a team rider for Mercedes, who sponsors the SUP World Series in Scharbeutz Germany.
Sonni¹s artistic talent will expand to Starboards equipment as part of the upcoming 2018 collection.
Sonni lives on the island of Sylt and trains on Maui and Fuerteventura.
She finds her calmness in painting and the colorful art pieces can be seen in a permanent exhibition on Sylt.
Sonni will be at the Dusseldorf Boat show from the 21st until the 29th of January and participate in their first indoor wave competition.
