Racing in Spain kicked off this weekend with team rider Espe Barreras taking the win in the Playa Blanca Beach Race ~ the first event of the Spanish Beach Racing Cup. The event took place in Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) in great but also tough conditions.
“It was 2 heats of 2 km course with some flags and breaking zone buoys, sidewind and hard conditions. Enjoying a lot this races, really open and unpredictable, but I could take the win in both Heats and win the overall.
Once again superconnected with my “magic” All Star that gives me an extra speed in choppy conditions and good control surfing on waves.
We were really excited to start the race season with a Beach Racing at home, to warm up for the next 200m Sprint competition in a few weeks.”
See you on the water ~ Espe”
