Congratulations to the entire New Caledonia Starboard Team over the weekend for taking command of the NRJ Pro Cup! Young Clement Colmas (14) is proving to be quite a contender on the racing tour. On Saturday, Clement won the Downwinder ahead of Robert Teriitehau and David Anewy who came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Sunday proved to be another Starboard podium with David Anewy winning the Beach Race in both the 12’6 and 14’0 divisions, while Clement Colmas finish second in the Beach Race 12’6 class.
On the women’s side, Charlotte Laviall won the long distance in the 12’6 class while Marie Bénédicte Roger won the 14′ division.
There’s been a lot of talk regarding the Battle of the Brands and it’s clear to see that in New Caledonia, the Starboard ACE, Sprint and All Star seemed to be the board of choice. Here is a breakdown of what boards were on the podium over the weekend:
