Please read through the details below to understand your coverage, the claim process, and what is excluded from the warranty.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

COMPOSITE (HARD) BOARDS
1-year warranty from the date of purchase.

 

INFLATABLE BOARDS

  • Standard Warranty: Covers all eligible manufacturing defects for a period of 2 years from the original purchase date.
  • Extended Warranty for Leakage: Provides an additional 3 years of coverage specifically for leakage issues, totaling 5 years of coverage from the original purchase date. Applicable only for boards produced in 2024 and onwards, and registration must be completed within 3 months of purchase.

PADDLES, FINS, BAGS, ACCESSORIES, RIGS
1-year warranty from the date of purchase.

 

This warranty applies to the original purchaser and requires proof of purchase from an authorized Starboard dealer.

WARRANTY CLAIM

Warranty claims must be filed with the original dealer where the product was purchased or directly with the national distributor in the country of purchase.
To begin your claim, please provide the following:

Proof of Purchase: Invoice or receipt confirming the product is within the warranty period.

Product Details: Accurate product name and serial number as listed on the invoice.

Issue Description: A clear explanation of the problem, including when and how it occurred, and the environmental conditions.

Photos: High-quality images showing:

  • The entire product.
  • The serial number.
  • Clear images of the issue or damage.

HOW WARRANTY CLAIMS ARE PROCESSED

To ensure your warranty claim is processed efficiently (within 2-5 working days), please provide all required information when submitting your claim. Missing or incomplete details may delay processing or result in the rejection of your claim.

STEPS TO SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM
  1. Complete the Claim Form:
    – Customers must fill out the warranty claim form and submit it to the original dealer.
    – Alternatively, the dealer can complete and submit the claim on the customer’s behalf.
  2. Dealer Submission:
    – The dealer forwards or submits the claim to Starboard’s National Distributor via E-mail or the B2B warranty system.
  3. Claim Evaluation:
    – If the claim is complete, Starboard’s National Distributor will submit the claim to Starboard Headquarters for further investigation. Starboard Headquarters will review the claim and provide a result to the National Distributor within 2-5 working days.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

This warranty does not cover the following conditions:

– Damage or defects caused by impact with any materials or objects (including ramps and sliders).
– Damage or defects caused by collisions, abuse, misuse, or accidental damage.
– Breakage or defects resulting from prior damages.
– Damage or defects caused by transport, loading, unloading, dropping, or handling out of water.
– Damage or defects caused by heel dents.
– Damage or defects resulting from non-recreational use.
– Damage or defects caused by inappropriate storage or handling.
– Damage or defects caused by exposure to temperatures above 70°C or below 0°C.
– Damage or defects caused by natural events such as floods, earthquakes, fires, etc.
– Damage or defects caused by alterations or modifications, including the use of a larger fin than specified.
– Damage or defects caused by unauthorized repairs.
– Damage or defects caused by using the product after a claim has been reported.
– Damage or defects resulting from flat landings.
– Damage or defects caused by improper mounting or adjustment of bindings or footstraps.
– Any damage other than manufacturing defects in material or workmanship.
– Damage or defects caused by storing the product in closed, damp conditions (e.g., wet board bags).
– Damage or defects caused by impact with the seafloor.

Starboard’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective products. We are not responsible for any additional losses, damages, or costs incurred as a result of the loss or inability to use the product.
