YULEX
80% REDUCED CARBON FOOTPRINT DURING THE POLYMER MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Presenting our footstraps and leashes made with natural rubber
by kicking out the environmentally harmful synthetic neoprene, we can welcome the FSC-certified, sustainably sourced and plant-based Yulex Foam. With 85% natural rubber content, CO2 emitted during the manufacturing process is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% of synthetic neoprene is kept to improve UV resistance.
Carefully sourced with the smoothest fabric for a comfortable feel.
“Hevea Brasiliensis”
also know as Rubber Trees
Sustainably and responsibly grown in Guatemala and Sri Lanka plantations, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
With a thin diagonal cut the bark is removed. Over six hours the sap drips out. A couple of days later when the tree has recovered, the procedure repeats.
After removing impurities, formic acid helps to coagulate the sap into a workable consistency.
The coagulated rubber runs through the final step before becoming sheets of Yulex certified foam.
Brought to the facilities in Thailand, the sheets are die-cut and manufactured into new leashes and footstraps.
