Paddle boarding just became the planets most popular watersport.
The paddleboarding experience and getting people into nature is what we live for at Starboard. For the very best sports experience, we develop gear that will make each session better.
The first tip is the paddle, that little piece of equipment is perhaps the most important part, that’s why we put so much work into developing our Enduro and Lima paddles. The Lima is also the most winning paddle in racing the last 3 years and Enduro is also used by the current World champ in the waves.
Inflatables are seeing good developments, and we have over the years pioneered the industry with the development of our welding technology for longevity, double chambers for stiffness and safety, and the Airline technology for an exceptional reflex and speed. What we did 8 years ago is now starting to become mainstream, and this year we would like to introduce the Wall, a dual thickness board, that gives you added stability and the opportunity to paddle a more narrow board.
On the hard board side the new Wedge and the new Pro’s are rejuvenating wave riding while the Sprint/ All stars just keeps on winning. A hot tip is that the 2021 All star is the most stable ever, utilizing the full extent of our dugout technology, that we pioneered 10 years ago.
After all these years we at Starboard have polluted the environment with our product production and travels. We know our impact and we act upon limiting our impact and through our planting of ½ million trees, to absorb ½ million ton CO2 over 20 years. Our internal plastic tax (perhaps the worlds first) has allowed us to collect 87,000 kg beach plastic through our ‘The Plastic Offset Program’ project.
We are not only balancing our impact by going ‘10 x Climate Net Positive’, we also introduced the concept of ‘Climate Past Positive’ making up for the whole of Starboards emissions, planting mangroves to sink down the equivalent estimated emissions from 1994.
