Spanish Team rider Fernando Perez Serra stamped his name at the recent APP event, the KAPP Busan SUP Open in Korea. The Spaniard took out the win in the men’s Sprint and a 3rd in the Distance race, giving him the overall win for the weekend. These were also his first podiums in an APP event, which sees him move up to second in the overall APP Race rankings, behind fellow Starboard team rider Connor Baxter.
“Hey, I’m Fernando Perez Serra and I am from Caños de Meca, Spain, and recently competed in the Busan SUP Open, the APP event in Korea. About 30 elite riders, including Connor, Arthur, and Rai, came, so the level of competition was solid.
The two races (Tech & Distance) had consistent conditions with waves and a bit of wind. I opted for the All Star board as the conditions on such days were quite varied, while also offering good stability and comfort.
I’m pleased with my performance, and really happy to take the win! Thanks to the support from my family and sponsors. My next focus is on the European Championships and the upcoming ICF SUP Worlds in Thailand.”
